Injabulo

Injabulo sells a fabulous variety of fairtrade buttons, gifts and knitting accessories, made by the native people of South Africa. and is run by Chrissie Sherwood, who is registered with BAFTS ( British Association of Fairtrade shops)

Injabulo is the Zulu word for happiness and you can be assured that the artists who make these hand crafted items, have been able to improve their lives through earning a reasonable living wage. This enables them to live dignified lives through being able to earn their own living, educate their children and eat good nourishing food.

Injabulo also support the the Mothers for All project, where women in South Africa and Botswana care for AIDS orphans or children made vulnerable by AIDS and assist carers to gain income-generating skills, so they are able to support themselves.Take a look at their gorgeous hand crafted beads.

Set up near St Austell in Cornwall, the Eden Project is a charity which aims to inform and inspire people on sustainable issues, climate change and how we can play our part to help.  Visit the inspiring biomes, full of over 1 million plants, intriguing art and architecture, also featured in one of the Bond films. I have been many times and think it is fabulous, always something new to see every time you go and great as a music venue.

MoorMums is a new website set up by Jess Robinson in Feb 09, a new mum who found that there was very little information for new mums, about what was going on for them and their babies in the area, and so decided to do something about it. Read more about MoorMums.
