Knitting can delay memory loss

In the latest research from the US, researchers in the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, found that in a study of 200 volunteers, those who enjoyed reading, playing games and engaged in hobbies such as knitting or patchwork in middle age, reduced the risk of memory loss by up to 40% in later years.

By engaging in cognitive excercises, you can protect against future memory loss.

The Alzheimer's Society says that 1 million people will develop dementia in the next 10 years, so there is a desperate need to find ways to prevent dementia.
