Interviewed Richard Rutt by telephone on how he came to write ‘The History of Hand Knitting’ acknowledged as one of the best book on the subject. A most interesting and astute man full of wonderful esoteric knowledge on knitting. Life is full of coincidences. Jadz did her biology degree in Plymouth – and worked in B &Q during the holidays. The parish where Richard now lives is run by a priest who once accidentally was given Jadz’s paypacket (similar Polish names) by mistake when he too worked at B&Q at the same time .
